THERE HAS NEVER BEEN MORE INFORMATION ABOUT DEVELOPING YOUNG PLAYERS.
The harder part is knowing what to trust, what matters and what is right for the young person in front of you.
Because development does not happen in one training session. Confidence matters. So do physical development, nutrition, recovery, health, relationships, coaching and what happens when things do not go to plan.
These things are often treated separately.
PlayerScout brings them together.

WHERE PLAYERSCOUT STARTED.
PlayerScout was founded by Grantley Baugh after a lifetime around sport.
He grew up in academy football before injury changed the direction of his own playing career.
Working in professional sport later gave him another view of development.
There were good coaches doing good work. Players wanted to improve and parents wanted to help.
But many of the questions shaping a young player were happening outside the technical session.
How do you handle pressure?
What happens when confidence disappears?
How much training is too much? How should you recover?
What do you do when you lose your place, get injured or stop enjoying it?
PlayerScout started by trying to answer those questions.

ONE SPORT BECAME MANY.
PlayerScout started in football, but players, parents and coaches from other sports kept finding us.
The sports were different. Many of the challengeswere not.
Confidence after mistakes. Pressure around competition. Growing bodies. Injuries. Nutrition. Selection. Expectations. Parents trying to work out when to help and when to step back.
That changed what we thought PlayerScout should become.
Not another platform for one sport.
A home for youth sport development.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT IS BIGGER THAN TRAINING.
Technical coaching matters. So does everything the player brings into it.
Their confidence. Their body. Their health. How they eat and recover. The people around them. How they respond when something goes wrong.
PlayerScout looks at those things together because that is how young people experience them.
We want to make good information easier to understand and easier to use, whether you are the player trying to improve, the parent trying to help or the coach responsible for supporting their development.

SPORT SHOULD GIVE YOUNG PEOPLE SOMETHING WORTH KEEPING.
We believe in ambition. In competing, improving, winning and giving talented young players the chance to see how far they can go.
But most young players will not become professionals. Every one of them is becoming a person.
Their confidence matters. Their health matters. The friendships matter. Learning to deal with winning, losing and uncertainty matters. And the relationship they have with sport when their competitive years are over matters too.
Good development should help young people become better at their sport without losing sight of the person developing alongside the player.
NO ONE SEES THE WHOLE PICTURE ALONE.
Players know what playing feels like. Parents see what happens away from training. Coaches see development up close. Researchers and practitioners bring knowledge that helps us understand it better.
PlayerScout is a place where those perspectives meet.
Where research becomes useful. Where different sports learn from each other. Where parents and coaches find answers they trust. And where young players are part of the conversation about their own development.
We want to build with the youth sport community, not simply talk to it.
That is what we mean by the Home of Youth Sport Development.

WE’RE BUILDING THE PLACE YOUTH SPORT HAS BEEN MISSING.
A place where young players can understand their development, parents can find clarity when they need it and coaches can learn beyond the boundaries of their own sport.
Where good research reaches the people making decisions every week. Where experts from different fields contribute what they know. And where better information helps create better experiences of sport.
There is still a lot to build.
We intend to build it with the people youth sport belongs to.

PlayerScout
THE HOME OF YOUTH SPORT DEVELOPMENT.
For players. For parents. For coaches.
